Mid & South Norfolk Advice & Support is a five year Lottery funded project helping people in Breckland and South Norfolk who are experiencing problems meeting their basic needs such as food, shelter, fuel and basic health.
Led by Citizens Advice Mid Norfolk the project includes partner agencies offering specialist advice in the crisis areas of debt, welfare benefits, housing, mental health, drug and alcohol, domestic violence, disability and immigration. Advice Champions based at Citizens Advice offices and in the community manage the client’s immediate crisis needs by helping them navigate around the specialist agencies and support them to build resilience and plan for the future.
By sharing learning amongst partners the project aims to identify common themes leading to crisis situations and affect change to the benefit of the client. This will be planned using the experiences of the client and giving them a stronger more collective voice.
Partners in the project include Citizens Advice Mid Norfolk, Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford and District, Norfolk Community Law Service, Equal Lives, Flagship Housing, Leeway Domestic Violence and Abuse Services, Mid Norfolk Foodbank, Shelter, Norfolk Recovery Partnership and Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney.
